The Chao Phraya is also known as the "River of Kings" it flows through Thailand, through the capital Bangkok and into the Gulf of Thailand. There is plenty to see along the river in this Chao Phraya River Cruise. Your day will start when you meet your Chao Phraya tour guide at your Bangkok hotel at 08:30. With your guide you will take a journey to Ayutthaya. Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya is situated in the valley of the Chao Phraya River and it contains a UNESCO world heritage site, Ayutthaya historical park.
When you visit Ayutthaya, you will experience the Summer Palace of the Kings of Thailand, the Bang Pa-In Royal Palace. A creation of King Prasat Thong, built in 1632, Bang Pa-In Royal Palace is a complex containing beautiful gardens and various buildings including, Sages' Lookout, Heavenly Light, Warophat Phiman and Aisawanthipphaya-At Pavilion. Upon your visit to Ayutthaya, you will board a rice barge to begin your Chao Phraya River cruise and enjoy a delicious Thai lunch onboard, whilst taking in the views of the magnificent Chao Phraya River.
You will get to explore the rest of Ayutthaya after lunch, including the point at where the three main rivers of Thailand (Chao Phraya, Lopburi and Pasak) meet, you will also be able to explore the majestic temples and the remains of the ancient kingdom of Ayutthaya. Ayutthaya historical park is Thailand's most precious historic sites and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
At 18:00 we will then journey back to Bangkok city centre to your hotel.
