This walking tour of Budapest commences from the British built Széchenyi Chain Bridge, which links the Buda side to the Pest side of the city. From the Chain Bridge the walking tour of Budapest heads past the glorious parliament buildings and crosses the Danube to the Buda side, where we will stop to discover the wonderful castle district. Within the Castle District, you are only a short walk to many of Budapest's most noted attractions. Your Budapest tour then proceeds towards Matthias Church, which is central within the Castle District, this church was founded back in the 11th century and had re-developments in the 14th and 19th century. Behind Matthias Church, this walking tour of Budapest takes you to see Fisherman's Bastion, composed of seven towers, it proudly stands on the banks on the Danube and offers a beautiful viewing point.
The city tour of Budapest will then move onto Gellért Hill, where the most magnificent views of Hungary can be seen, from there we will head to Elisabeth Bridge and explore the Pest side of the city. Pest offers some fascinating destinations to explore, the infamous Central Market Hall before the Budapest tour heads past Budapest Zoo, Széchenyi Thermal Baths and Hero's Square.
