Seven Day Uganda Tour

Uganda safari, explore Murchison Falls Park and Queen Elizabeth and go gorilla trekking

Day 1: Murchison Falls Park en-route Rhino Sanctuary
Your safari in Uganda will begin with driving northwards towards Murchison Falls National Park. With a hot lunch en-route, prepare your selves for the breath-taking scenery and a short nature walk to the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Masindi. The guided nature walk in the sanctuary brings you up close with the endangered rhinos. In the evening you will arrive into the Murchison Falls National Park and transfer directly to your lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Total Time Driving: Approximately 6 - 7 hours
Accommodation Option: Murchison River Lodge or Fort Murchison Lodge

Day 2: Activities at Murchison Falls National Park
You will start your day with an early morning breakfast, then, its onwards to enjoy an early game drive to hopefully see a vast array of game animals like elephants, giraffes and buffalo that roam free in Murchison National Park. You will return to your lodge to take lunch. You will spend the afternoon taking a boat trip upstream to the foot of the thundering Murchison Falls, here is a fantastic opportunity to take some fabulous photos as you marvel at the beauty of the nature surrounding you. Along the banks of the river you will be able to see such animals as hippos, crocodiles, and unique bird species. Dinner and overnight accommodation as per your first night.

Day 3: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Fort Portal
An early breakfast is where you will start the day before leaving Murchison Falls to proceed in the direction of Fort Portal traversing along the Great Rift Valley and the Rwenzori Mountain ranges. You will stop en–route to enjoy lunch before setting off once again to Fort Portal. On arrival in the late afternoon you will check in for your overnight accommodation and then you will take dinner at your accommodations restaurant. This is a detour location to break down the long transfer from Murchison Falls up to Queen Elizabeth Park which could alternatively last up to 12 hours.

Travel Time: 7- 8 hours.

Day 4: Transfer from Fort Portal to Queen Elizabeth Park
Breakfast will be taken early before you set off continuing following the mystical mountain ranges to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch and later prepare for an afternoon safari by boat on the Kazinga channel connecting both Lake George and Edward. The evening of Day 4 will be spent at your leisure, you will enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation of your choice of two lodges.

Drive Time: 3 - 4 hours

Day 5: Safari in Queen Elizabeth Park and transfer to Bwindi Via the Ishasha Sector
After an early breakfast, you will take another game drive in the North of Queen Elizabeth Park where you may have a chance to spot the Uganda Kobs, lions and elephants. After lunch, you will depart the northern side of the Queen Elizabth Park and drive southwards to the Ishasha sector, the area famed for the tree climbing lions! As you drive through, you may see even more wildlife. The rest of the evening you will embark on another game drive and try out your luck to see if you can find any feasting lions. Then drive to Bwindi Forests to your lodge at leisure for dinner and overnight stayover at Bakiga lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Uganda
The day starts with your usual early breakfast before you head to the Uwa headquarters for the gorilla trekking brief. To see the most, rare endangered animals, and what is considered the highlight of the country Uganda, the Mountains gorillas. Your gorilla trekking in Uganda will take about 6-7 hours long from start to finish. This is one of the most amazing experiences and will set your emotions alight. In the evening you will return to your lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer back to Entebbe
Breakfast will be taken at your leisure before your transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route. There will be an opportunity to stop at the equator to take some photos. This day is reserved for evening flights from Entebbe International airport.
