One of the most picturesquely iconic places in Ireland offers up some of the best rock-climbing opportunities. Whether you are a keen rock climber visiting Ireland or even if you are a beginner, this Gap of Dunloe rock climbing with abseiling adventure is a fantastic experience for both novice and experienced rock climbers. Being outside upon the rocks at the Gap of Dunloe will give you a sense of true freedom, exhilaration and satisfaction once you complete the challenge.
As you take on the challenge of rock climbing you will aim to conquer the heights and once you reach the summit you will have a wonderful opportunity to take in the most glorious views of Killarney. The Gap of Dunloe is a magical place full of legends and myths, some of which your guide will be able to enlighten you on, but at the heights of the rocks of the Gap pf Dunloe you will sense all of this as you feel captured by the beauty of your surroundings.
Next up, or should we say down on the agenda is to complete your decent by abseiling the Gap of Dunloe, a much quicker experience than climbing up but none the less just as exciting. With both the climb and the decent you will be guided by a professional who will be able to assist you where needed and offer you tips and the best routes to take. At the beginning of this Rock climbing and abseiling experience in Killarney you will receive a full briefing in respect to techniques and safety.
This rock climbing and abseiling experience in Killarney will last for approximately four hours and is available on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It is important you bring along with you suitable footwear for climbing and warm clothes. It's also best to take a bottle of water and snacks too, abseiling rock climbing is a very physical experience so you will need to bring these along with you. Usually the experience commences at 14:30 but we do ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time.
