When you visit Semmering you will take a cable car ride to the top of the mountains of Hirschenkogel, then if you are feeling brave enough you can take a mountain cart back down!
Your Semmering Tour takes you to the land of where members of high society come to relax. Your day will begin with a cable car ride in Hirschenkogel, once your cable car arrives at its high-altitude destination, you will then have the chance to admire the views. There are two options from here in your visit to Semmering, you can either take the cable car back down or, alternatively and more excitingly you coud opt to ride a mountain cart back.
It will then be time for your walking tour, where you will be guided around Semmering and find out more about the fascinating history of the Semmering Railway, which is a World Cultural Heritage site. From there you will head over to the captivating viaduct, that once was used as the image on the schilling note. Finally, your tour of Semmering heads over to Maria Schutz, a site that pilgrims have dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Upon your visit to Maria Schutz church, you will enjoy an Austrian delicacy known as Krapfen (similar to a doughnut).
